The CRC scheme is part of the UK Government’s initiative to tackle Climate Change using a new domestic ‘cap and trade’ approach to reduce energy usage from large organisations in the private and public sectors. The scheme is central to the UK Government’s programme for meeting its Greenhouse Gas reduction targets. The solution development phase is likely to last for 15 months with SciSys providing ongoing support for a further 21 months with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
This new contract further strengthens the relationship between the two organisations and builds on the work SciSys has been undertaking for the Environment Agency over several years in helping them develop new solutions to meet their Better Regulation objectives.
Chairman Mike Love commented “We are delighted to be working on behalf of the Environment Agency on this important Climate Change project. Delivering the CRC solution will further strengthen our position as a leading provider of Environmental business solutions”.
