Starting from 2012 Metria will map forest and imperviousness based on new satellite data covering northern Europé. Other service providers will do the rest of Europe in order to compile a pan-European coverage based on image data from 2011 and 2012. This is the first land related contracts issued within GMES GIO Land and provide maps and databases possible to use for a wide range of applications.

(2012-02-02) Metria won GMES GIO Land contracts to map the Nordic countries/Baltic States, but also as a subcontractor perform pre-processing of satellite data covering Turkey.
