LogicaCMG hosted a roundtable forum on 8th November 2007 in London, to discuss UK involvement in a major European satellite initiative to address climate change – Global Monitoring for the Environment and Security (GMES). The panel was chaired by John Higgins, Director General of Intellect, and included some renowned experts from a range of industries:
Rt Hon Michael Jack MP – the Conservative MP for Fylde and Chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee.
Professor Alan O’Neill – Professor of Meteorology at Reading University and director of the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO).
Stuart Martin – Director of LogicaCMG’s Space and Satellite Communications business.
Professor David Crichton – consultant, author and lecturer specialising in the impact of climate change on insurance.
