space4environment is part of a European consortium that has been contracted by ESPON to analyse green infrastructure and ecosystem services in the context of territorial development (GRETA).
After the successful kick-off meeting, their main responsibility will be to build the foundation of the project by (i) developing a working definition of green infrastructure and (ii) mapping the spatial distribution patterns of green infrastructure and ecosystem service across European regions.
In the 18-months project we’ll be collaborating with colleagues from tecnalia (ES), autonomous university of barcelona (ES), nordregio (SE) and the james hutton institute (UK).
