NOBRAC is a Barcelona-based deep-tech platform that replaces this broken chain with a single, end-to-end verification system, satellite-native, AI-powered, and blockchain-anchored.
The pipeline starts with Very High Resolution (VHR) multispectral imagery at 30cm per pixel, precise enough to distinguish individual trees. Paired with Sentinel satellites for high-frequency change detection and LiDAR for forest structure, the data feeds a proprietary AI engine that automatically segments individual tree crowns, classifies them by species (Pinus, Quercus, Eucalyptus, Picea, Populus and expanding), and estimates per-tree biomass through species-specific allometric equations calibrated to local soil and climate conditions. Every result is cross-checked against over 1,000 independent ground-truth reference plots, keeping total biomass uncertainty below 5%.
What makes NOBRAC structurally different isn’t just the science, it’s the trust architecture. Every step in the pipeline, from the original imagery hash to the model version, parameter set, and final output, is anchored to a public blockchain via Merkle-tree commitments, making results fully reproducible by any third party.
The platform covers three core use cases: Afforestation (end-to-end credit issuance from planting to certification), Non-Deforestation (EUDR-compliant due diligence for supply chains in cocoa, coffee, soy, beef, timber, and more), and Avoidance (auditable counterfactual baselines for standing forest conservation). All three run on the same pipeline, under the same evidence chain, and generate compliance documentation aligned with CRCF, EUDR Articles 9 & 10, Paris Agreement Article 6, and EU ETS Phase IV.
